I just checked it on the demo as you said the demo is not working either, but I found it’s working as it should be. If I click on the announcement, it’s opening a popup.
However, I can understand you are facing the issue on your site somehow. Maybe there is a conflicting issue causing the problem or something else. Have you checked the theme/plugin conflict yet?
