Question about Birthdate

In the contact record there is a field there for Date of Birth. My client has a requirement around sending out birthday cards to all their contacts so basically they pull a monthly report showing everyone born in April, for example. Is there a way to either use date of birth as a search criteria or export the contacts along with the date of birth field so they can get at it via excel or something?

Having an option to display them on the calendar on the dashboard would be great but that’s really just a feature request.
